We keep mosquitoes off your yard.
Duskproof is a mosquito service for Austin homes. We dump and treat the standing water, spray the fence line where they rest, and come back every 10 to 14 days. $79 a visit. No contract.
The 2-minute assessment requestAustin first: Travis, Williamson, Hays

- 1Source: find and treat the standing water
- 2Shield: a treated perimeter where they rest
- 3Rhythm: re-treat on their 10–14 day cycle
Mosquitoes don't come from the woods. They come from your yard.
The species that bite around houses breed in the standing water on your own property and rarely travel far, and a new generation can emerge in days. So we don't just fog the air and leave. We work all three layers, the way the life cycle demands.
Break the breeding
We walk your property and treat the standing water where they hatch: gutters, saucers, low spots, drains. The step almost no service does.
Hold the perimeter
A treated barrier on the shaded vegetation and resting spots where adults wait out the day. They land, they contact it, they're done.
Keep the cycle
We return on their 10 to 14 day clock so protection never lapses, or we install an automated misting system that runs itself.
Where the work actually happens on a typical yard.
- 1Gutters and downspout elbows. Water stands where you cannot see it; larvicide goes where dumping cannot reach.
- 2Birdbaths and water features. Tipped, scrubbed, or treated with Bti so the water stays but the larvae do not.
- 3Plant saucers and low spots. The quiet nursery almost every patio has.
- 4Shaded fence-line foliage. Where adults rest out the heat of the day; they land on the treated surface and are done.
- 5Foundation beds and perimeter shrubs. The barrier that rings the space you actually live in.
- 6The re-treat clock. A new generation can emerge in about two weeks, so we return before it does, weather-timed.

Every tier, same promise. They come back between visits? So do we, free.

This is what dusk is supposed to look like.
No smoke, no sprays in your hand, no going inside at 7pm. Just your yard, the way you pictured it when you bought the house.
What we spray, and why.
No mystery jug. Two product classes do the work, both governed by EPA registration, and you see exactly which products on every visit.
Kids and pets
We treat while they're indoors, and the label rule is the house rule: off treated areas until dry. Once dry, treated areas are considered safe for people and pets under the label directions.
Pollinators, honestly
Residual products can harm bees on direct contact, so we avoid blooming plants, keep applications on shaded resting foliage, and time work away from pollinator activity. Keep bees? Tell us at the assessment and we plan around them.
Your service report lists the exact product and EPA registration number applied, every visit.
We haven't locked a fixed product inventory and won't pretend otherwise. What we commit to is disclosure: the label name and EPA number of everything used on your yard, in writing, each time, and every label available to you before we ever treat.
Honest about the bugs, and about the bill.
The guarantee is the whole model
They come back between visits? So do we, free. No re-booking fee, no argument. We only make money when the yard actually stays quiet.
We treat the source, not just the air
Fogging alone wears off in days. Finding and treating the standing water is why our protection actually holds for weeks.
$79, printed right on the site
Most services in this category make you call for a number. Our per-visit price is public, and the season plan is quoted against it, in writing, at your free assessment.
Duskproof is a new service, so we don't show customer reviews yet. The cards above describe how we work, not testimonials, and we will never invent one. Applications are performed by licensed technicians using EPA-registered products.
Questions homeowners actually ask.
What do you actually apply, and is it registered?
We use EPA-registered products, applied according to their labels. A typical visit pairs a residual treatment on the shaded vegetation where adult mosquitoes rest with a larvicide, such as Bti, for standing water that cannot simply be dumped. Before we treat, we tell you exactly which products we plan to use on your property, and you can read every label first.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
We treat when kids and pets are indoors, and the rule we follow is the one printed on every label: stay off treated areas until the application has dried. Once dry, treated areas are considered safe for people and pets under the product label directions. We also target resting vegetation and standing water, not play equipment, patio furniture, or dining surfaces.
What about bees and pollinators?
Honestly: the residual products used for mosquito control can harm bees on direct contact, which is why the label rules exist. We follow them. We do not spray blooming plants that pollinators are working, we keep applications on shaded resting foliage rather than open flowers, and we handle breeding water with larvicides like Bti that target mosquito larvae. If you keep bees or have a pollinator garden, tell us during the assessment and we will plan around it.
How fast does it work, and does it really cut the mosquitoes down?
You should feel the difference by your first evening: the treatment knocks down adults on contact, then keeps working on treated surfaces for weeks. Published field trials of residual barrier treatments, from university and mosquito-control researchers, have measured large reductions in the treated area for several weeks, though the exact number varies with the property, the species, and the weather. That variability is exactly why our guarantee exists: if they come back between visits, so do we, free.
What happens when it rains?
Once the application has dried, the residual bonds to the foliage and handles normal rain. A hard, prolonged washout can shorten its life, and we plan visits around the forecast for exactly that reason. If a storm knocks your protection down between scheduled visits, that is covered by the guarantee: we come back and re-treat at no charge.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. You can book a single visit before a backyard event, or run a season plan that keeps the 10 to 14 day rhythm going from spring through the first hard cool-down. Season plans save money per visit, but nothing auto-renews and you can stop whenever you want.
How does the misting system tier work?
For properties that want set-and-forget protection, we design and install a perimeter misting system controlled from an app, then maintain it on a service schedule. It releases a fine treatment mist on a timed cycle, typically around dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active. It is quoted per property after the free yard assessment, since nozzle count and layout depend on your yard.
